Instructional Design and Distance Learning offers support through a variety of programs to provide instructors with the tools and resources to develop and deliver engaging high-quality, online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses and modules. Mission & Goals

Instructional Design and Distance Learning (IDDL) provides guidance and leadership for teaching in the online environment and delivering engaging high-quality courses, while providing support for the use of educational technology and promoting innovative practices to improve the quality of educational experiences.

  • Organize professional development opportunities on a monthly basis through a variety of delivery methods including online resources on our website and the IT Portal.
  • Consult with faculty to design/redesign that advancing teaching with technology through the implementation of instructional design principles and dedicating time to each faculty member to complete their project.
  • Increase campus participation/attendance in professional development opportunities each semester by collaborating with other areas offering professional development, offering focus groups, and reviewing data from workshop surveys.
  • Resolve issues and provide instructional design and technical assistance daily through the IT Portal to encourage a self-service model of support.
